Catching up

Hey peeps! I'm back and with some MAJOR updates!! Grab a cup of brew and join my for the recap will ya?

Arn't these little fur balls the cutest thing? The gal and I are fostering a litter of kittens for a local rescue group. I knew that this was going to be a great distraction for her, but I had no idea how much I would enjoy these little monsters! We have the Momma cat, whom is only 1 year old (poor thing) and her 4 babies. We have had them for 1 week today, and they have truly blossomed. Their personalities are so vivid now! We have a trouble maker, a scardy cat, an a cuddle bunny. The last one just seems to sit back and watch the fun. This is such a rewarding thing to do! Thank goodness the rescue group has a firm policy of foster homes not adopting, cause then we'd be in trouble! It will be hard to say goodbye, but I'm sure we enjoy the next litter we get to help with too. And if your complaining about the pics, you try to get 4 hyper kitties to wait for you to push the button on the camera. It's impossible!!!

Speaking of adopting. We, well I, well, um. Meet Henry.

Henry is a Wild Mustang I, or we, depending on how you look at it, adopted from the auction last Sunday. He is 4 years old has had next to no contact with humans. I am so excited to work with him this Summer! We can already tell that he is very intelligent, and he is catching on to things much faster than his Mustang mates. I have had him at the barn for 3 days and he has gotten so many great compliments from smart horse people. I am very happy to have Henry join our clan!

More on adoptions. My Sis is expecting a new little daughter in the next 18 months. I am thrilled for her and I can't wait to start on a baby blanket. Every child deserves a crochet blankie of their own. I also have a great friend who is expecting a little girl in October, so I really need two blankies!! Do any of you have a favorite blankie pattern?

Well that is the big news, I don't think I forgot anything, but you never know!!!
